Currently pursuing an advanced degree at Hunter College, my academic journey began with a foundation in sociology during my undergraduate studies in Buffalo, NY. This background sparked my curiosity about how societal structures and interactions evolve in our increasingly digital world.
Through my studies, I explore the intersection of technology, culture, and human behavior, analyzing how digital platforms influence identities, relationships, and communities. My research focuses on topics such as online social media dynamics and the impact of technology on societal norms.
This portfolio showcases my academic journey, research projects, and insights into the ever-changing digital landscape. Join me as I unravel the complexities of the digital age through a sociological lens!

Mind Your Business Podcast
Minority creatives and entrepreneurs, especially aspiring business owners, side hustlers, and content creators who are navigating identity, growth, and hustle culture. This includes women of color, first-generation entrepreneurs, and underrepresented voices in business spaces who are building their path while managing real-life challenges.
Objective:
Simulate the launch of a podcast that reaches 100 streams in the first week, builds anticipation through content, and grows engagement across Instagram and TikTok.
Before planning my campaign for Mind Your Business Diaries, I analyzed social media trends and best practices for podcast promotion particularly among creators targeting younger, entrepreneurial audiences. I found that short-form videos (like Instagram Reels and TikToks) consistently perform better when they include emotional storytelling, hooks in the first 3 seconds, and subtitles. I also learned that content shared in the afternoon or early evening tends to get higher engagement, and that posts with a strong narrative or “relatable truth” are more likely to be saved or shared. This informed my decision to center the campaign around real, raw moments and to include multiple video posts throughout the week. I also incorporated interactive Instagram Story elements like polls and countdowns to drive engagement, based on research showing they boost visibility in the algorithm. Overall, my content choices, posting times, and video structure were all shaped by this analytics-based approach to maximize impact and authenticity.
